Missiology is the branch of biblical theology that inquires into the Church's missional identity and purpose in the world. Urban missiology therefore asks what it means to be the Church in the city.  While every city is different, there are common threads that run through the complex, multi-cultural, and socio-political tapestry of large cities. Learning how other pastors, theologians, and ministry practitioners understand and engage the city can prove helpful in navigating these threads.
